Training in the ASI-AF
The ASI-AF is an evidence-based assessment tool for the purposes of
anticipating post-placement support needs in adoption and fostering.
A four day training course is available to establish reliable use of
the ASI-AF and to build up practitioners' skills in making assessments
of characteristics of parents and carers. It encompasses their quality
of close relationships, social support and security of adult attachment
style.

2. Ordering
Attachment Style Interview Packs

Printed or Electronic copies of the ASI Interview Pack are available to those who have completed the four day training and can be ordered from Lifespan Research Group.
The cost of one PRINTED Interview pack is £15 per pack plus postage. There is a minimum order of 5 packs (unless ordering a Lifespan Consultancy service for rating accuracy feedback at the same time– see below).
The cost of licence for the ELECTRONIC (digital) version
of the ASI pack on unlimited number of assessments is £450 for a team,
and £200 for independent practitioners. Discounted team price of £300
is available to voluntary organisations. Small agencies which use the
ASI measure on a limited basis may also be eligible for a discounted
fee in special circumstances. The version you receive will be labelled
with your agency name and license number. Sample ‘taster’ version of
Electronic ASI pack is available – please email
us to receive a copy.

Due to numerous requests Lifespan are very pleased to now be able to
offer a high quality electronic version of the Attachment Style Interview
(ASI) pack for social care teams and independent practitioners who are
fully trained in the assessment tool. In response to
practitioner demand, Lifespan have developed the pack utilising the
latest PDF technology for convenience of use, for data sharing, and
to fulfil agency demands for electronic storage of evidence-based assessment
records. The PDF Acrobat format document enables the Electronic ASI
to be shared amongst members of an organisation and can be re-used an
indefinite number of times. Download Electronic

3. ASI Rating Accuracy Check
Lifespan provides rating accuracy feedback from the Lifespan research team. The cost of individual Rating Accuracy Check is £30 per case. If ordering copies of printed ASI Pack together with Rating Accuracy Check services there is no minimum Pack order, as above.
Please note that in unusually complicated cases our Rating Accuracy Check fee will be higher than £30 – if this is the case you will be informed of case complexity in advance and we will not proceed with Rating service until your approval/agreement is granted.

5. Workshop
briefings on the ASI & Evaluating the use of ASI
One-day workshops on the ASI are available for
prospective or experienced users of the assessment tool. These
can serve to outline the background and use of the interview in adoption
and fostering with time to discuss particular team needs. Workshops
can be arranged for a range of professionals involved in the services
